I thought the selections were made a few weeks ago for the World Junior team and Janko wasn't on the list? Good on him!

You'll probably see a few Flames prospects on the US team. Sure nice to see we have some decent talent coming up. The biggest thing Feaster did was trading the old guard. Backlund never got the quality minutes he should of & was always used against tougher comp when the old vets were getting beat up on the possession numbers. I really am looking forward to seeing what he s gonna do with better minutes & better linemates.

I guess Janko looks really good in camp here, bigger & more confident, lots of skill. Would love to see him & Pourier make the team and quiet the trolls a bit.

Whats the word on Cammy ? I have always thought he is a very self centered person and very cocky and I mean those aren't always bad things but is he going to want to stay through what is going on in Calgary or is he kind of pissy about the moves made and that he wasn't moved to a contender ? I could be totally wrong about the guy to though so don't come at me just curious about the situation.

They would like to move him, there has been zero interest due to his high price tag dollar wise. Maybe a deadline move.

Ya I don't think it's quite that bad but word is he wants out.

Feaster has gone public in saying there hasn't been much interest in him. So he might get dealt (I imagine with the Flames retaining some salary) before the start of the season or more likely at the trade deadline.

I think Poirier will be there due to his ability to kill penalties. Perfect for the 3rd or 4th line.

How are you guys cap wise I was a little surprised after a few big contracts got moved for picks that Backlund would get more just because they could give him more are you guys going to be fighting to make the floor or?

I think they should be fine...they signed Ramo to almost 3 mil per year...Brodie will also get a raise to somewhere in the 2-2.5 range. I also wouldn't be surprised to see a deal before the season starts where the Flames take on a little salary in order to get something else...Feaster has talked a lot about this so we will see.

I think he only got the call because a few players that will be on the team can't make the camp.

Ahhh....makes sense. At least goes to show he has some talent...given the fact that he was projected to have a long development, the fact that he can be invited to that camp a year after being a high school hockey plug is a good sign.

So like a dump and a 2ndor 3rd for a minor leaguer ? Cause I would love to move Volchenkov but I think we can move him with out coughing up a decent pick. Even to move in like the Tallinder deal.

Yup, something like that. Probably to a team that's up against the cap i.e. Philly, New York, Boston...we'll see.

lol another expert, guy did pretty well playing against guys 3 or 4 years older than him...he could just as easily be a top 10 player from the 2012 draft you have no idea.

based on how many times you have seen him play? he is one month older than Monahan with a full year of NCAA under his belt as a true Freshman and a decent year at that.

He is 18, I would like to know what qualifications you have to grade an 18 year old the worst pick of a draft held one year ago

Honestly man....ill give you some advice. Instead of trying to defend The Janitor it's a lot easier to embrace him for who he is and then start telling everyone how big of a superstar he is going to be. Trust me, it's a lot more fun

The best defence is a good offence
